Main components of honeycomb ceramic catalysts

Honeycomb ceramic catalysts are essentially ceramic materials composed of various metal oxides. Their main component is titanium dioxide (TiO₂), due to its high catalytic activity and stability, enabling it to effectively catalyze a wide range of chemical reactions. Additionally, the active component in honeycomb ceramic catalysts is vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅), which exhibits excellent catalytic effects for certain specific chemical reactions. Besides the main and active components, honeycomb ceramic catalysts also contain auxiliary agents such as tungsten trioxide (WO₃), which further enhance catalyst performance and optimize catalytic effects.

In the preparation of honeycomb ceramic catalysts, techniques such as impregnation are typically used to load the active components and auxiliary agents onto a ceramic honeycomb support. This support is usually made of high-performance ceramic materials such as cordierite, possessing excellent thermal and chemical stability, ensuring stable catalytic performance of the catalyst under high temperatures and complex environments.
